Local Wildlife
The local wildlife is abundant with:
- wallabies
- bandicoots
- brush & ring tail possums
- blue wrens & finches
- cockatoo, parrots & galahs
- kookaburras
- wombats
- echidnas
some of which can be seen feasting on the garden foliage in the early morning and evening. Each morning is announced by numerous bird songs competing with each other and if you are lucky, you may get a glimpse of some of our local wildlife

- Natureworld at Bicheno,
- Douglas Aspley National Park
- Mount William National Park
All within a short drive of The French House, where you can see tasmanian devils, eagles, kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and many other native animals.
